FAQ's

Here are some common questions we get asked, but if you've still not found the answer you're looking for, please email sophie@hellooutside.co.uk

How do I book?

Please email sophie@hellooutside.co.uk to book a place at our camps.

What if it rains?

For particularly unpleasant days, we have an indoor space. Hello Outside is about embracing nature, seasons and the elements so we will always try and be outside as much as possible. Our leaders keep a flexible daily schedule which can be led by weather.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that things change so if you need to cancel we ask for at least a weeks notice prior to camp and we'll give you a full refund.

Hello Outside camps will run come rain or shine but if winds are strong or there is a storm we will need to cancel the sessions for safety reasons. We will always give as much notice as possible.

What do the children need to bring?

Children need to bring their own packed lunch - **STRICTLY NO NUT PRODUCTS** and water bottles. Leaders provide a snack during the session, this will depend on the season. For example, at the end of summer apples will be picked, dipped in cinnamon sugar and cooked on the camp fires by the children - Yum!

In the summer, children are to arrive at camp with sun tan lotion already applied and with extra in their backpack to reapply  themselves.

What do children need to wear?

  • Children must wear long trousers and preferably long sleeve tops. This helps avoid any stinging nettles / ticks and other outdoor nasties!

  • Layers please and even a spare change of clothes is useful

  • Closed toe shoes only

  • Wooly / sun hats and accessories depending on the weather

Who do we work with?

Hello Outside work with Level 3 Forest School Leaders who will conduct the sessions. All leaders are DBS checked, first aider qualified and have their own insurance. They will be supported by assistants who will be DBS checked.

My child is neurodivergent, is Forest School suitable for them?

Absolutely. Forest School and outdoor learning has been proven to be particularly beneficial for neurodivergent children. Our leaders all have first hand experience of dealing with a range of conditions and as long as Hello Outside are notified of any special needs upon booking, we can ensure we have the right staff ratio to cater for the group.

Are there loo's?

Yes, we have loos on site available for the children to use during the camps.
